Join the ABA, BLSA and CAPIL in donating Legal Textbooks

FCSL's ABA, BLSA & CAPIL organizations are working with the national ABA's International Law Section in coordinating the collection of donated legal textbooks. Since its delegation meeting in 2007, the ILEX Ghana Task Force has embarked on an initiative to assist the Ghana Bar Association with its dire need for legal textbooks. The basic tenet is to collect donated law textbooks in GOOD condition (used or new on substantive law, as well as rule of law subjects) to be shipped to Ghana, West Africa. For example, Contracts, Property, Torts, Insurance Law, Human Rights, legal dictionaries etc. are needed; however, US specific topics such as Civil Procedure will not be needed. Collection will commence on May 12th and will end on May 23rd, 2008. Drop-off will be on the FCSL campus in room 152. Individuals may claim a tax deduction for their fair market value of the used books. Please contact Angela Aifah at aaaifah@fcsl.edu for more information.
