Sports Law Moot Court Team

Every year, two teams represent Coastal Law at the annual National
Sports Law Moot Court Competition at Tulane University. In the 2008-09
academic year, both teams (pictured together below) at this prestigious
national competition reached the quarter-finals. Thirty-eight teams from
over thirty law schools around the country competed in this tournament.
Each of our teams went 3-0 in the preliminary rounds, before winning in
the octo-finals and advancing to the quarter-finals. In addition to the
overall team success, Adam Meier won the Best Brief Award, which will be
published in an upcoming edition of The Sports Lawyers Journal.
